Duties & Responsibilities. • Provide strong technical support on process/product technologies to support production. • Set up, maintenance of and troubleshooting of production machines. • Root cause and problem solving production issues for Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding Machines. Supporting formal trial activities – plan, execute, report. • Own and complete CAPA’s and NC’s related to production issues. • Demonstrates a primary commitment to H&S and product quality within the manufacturing environment. • Continuous improvement focus, demonstrating strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. • Leads the development and execution of experimentation and testing to enable characterisation, optimization and troubleshooting of key processes and equipment. • Co-ordinates the introduction of new processes, equipment and materials including installation, calibration, EHS assessment debug, and all associated process and quality system documentation requirements including technical and process work instructions. • Liaises with Engineering team or external equipment/tooling vendors, in the selection, design & development of new (or upgrades to existing) automation systems, equipment, tooling and fixturing. • Leading internal projects, such as Capital investments and Lean programs. • Customer facing, leading NPI and product transfer projects. • Liaise with toolmakers in EU and Asia on tool design, • Completes or leads the writing and release of process validation documentation. • Co-ordinates execution and documentation of validation builds. • Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems. • Some travel may be required. Education & Experience. • A degree in a relevant engineering subject. • Experience in working to ISO 13485 standards. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required. • Experience and knowledge of injection moulding machines, process set up and optimization. • Experience and knowledge of blow moulding machines, process set up and optimization. • Technical Writing Experience would be desirable.
