Working with the LotusWorks team as an advanced automation technician provide Engineering support to the Production Departments to ensure that hourly targets are met by completing maintenance work and performing Equipment problem resolution. Responsibilities. Minimise downtime on Equipment, through fast response, effective root cause analysis and good problem-solving techniques. Liaise with production supervisor / Senior Engineer to understand equipment down priorities. Effective analysis and elimination of recurring equipment problems. Identify, quantify, implement and present on equipment continuous improvement projects. Expedite the implementation of PM schedules. Responsible for replenishing spare parts and continuous improvement of Spare Parts system. Generation of handovers and keeping of accurate records. Handling issues related to Environmental Health & safety. Ensure compliance to all standards. Continuous improvement of production and output. Application of DBS tools (Lean techniques) towards the continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery and productivity. Requirements. Technical Diploma or degree and has 5 years maintenance experience in a highly automated industrial environment. Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Experience of PLC programming & electrical control systems. Quality assurance, cGMP / FDA QSR / ISO regulations. Previous experience in some of the following: pneumatics; PLC’s; instrumentation; hydraulics; Vision systems. A good knowledge of electronics and software-controlled systems. Strong structured / logical problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication / presentation skills. Experience in identifying and leading continuous improvement projects. Benefits.
