Spar based in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare is seeking to hire a Full time Deli - Assistant. It is a full-time position and is a busy store. Responsibilities include: - Smooth & effective running of the Deli. Working as part of a team in a busy Deli. Dealing with counter customers in a prompt & professional manner. Ensure product is displayed attractively and in order. Ensuring that you adhere to HACCP standards at all times. Ensure timely preparation of dishes. Proactively generating sales for the business. Promoting products and informing customers of special offers etc. Ensuring that the Deli is always clean. Dealing with stock, inputting onto stock control system. The ideal candidate will have: - Ability to build rapport & build relationships. First class interpersonal skills. Effective communicator. Cash handling experience. Must be flexible and available for work when required. Ideally have merchandising experience. Experience and aware of HACCP. Excellent presentation skills and professional image. Motivated, energetic and ambitious. Highly organised and disciplined. Strong multi-tasking ability. 2 years + experience in retail/Deli is an advantage. Business opens 7 days a week, hours vary.
