A leading Irish indigenous utilities company is recruiting an Operations Manager to join their team in County Clare. This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to join a growing business that offers a seat within the senior management of the organization with a career path towards leading the business. This role would be a mix of day to day operations management, customer interface, responsibility of managing the Profit & Loss of key accounts and contributing towards the next phase of strategic growth of a well-established company. The job: Oversee and manage the day to day operations of the business. Work with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure operational excellence. Participate in the decision making process for company policy and strategy. Develop and implement company staff policies and strategic operational plan. Evaluate work load and schedules work in a way that best utilizes available resources and maximizes profits. Help with sourcing, recruiting and selection of new staff members when necessary. Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale. Oversee the company’s ISO, Health and Safety and Staff Training Requirements. Qualification: Engineering Background with a degree qualification required. A business qualification would be advantageous. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operational management position. Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce. Understanding of human resources and personnel management. Experience with management and conflict resolution.
