The Carambola Ltd. are currently recruiting General Operatives for the Primary School Canteen we are running in Ennis town. Successful candidates will work as part of a small team in a school canteen, preparing and serving lunches, both hot and cold, to school children, while ensuring a high level of quality and food safety is maintained.The job also involves cleaning, assistance in basic admin and Food Safety related activities. On-site training will be provided. This is a fixed term/casual employment. This role is with immediate start. Requirements: • Flexible. • Good English both written and verbal. • Excellent time keeping and attendance. • Self-motivated, with a ‘can do’ attitude. • Reliable and hard-working. Desirable: • Previous experience in a similar role (catering/deli/restaurant. • Interpersonal skills. • Own transport would be an advantage. Working hours: The canteen operates from Monday to Friday, except for school breaks. Hours of work are approximately 8am to 9am and 11am to 1.30pm or alternatively, only 11am to 1.30pm.
