A Senior Buyer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Shannon based client. This is an opportunity to join a select team with a rapidly expanding Irish company. THE ROLE: * Responsible for negotiating long-term and short-term transactions with vendors. * Planning and incorporation of strategic purchasing plans company-wide. * Scheduling shipping times and managing the requirements of freight travel. * Negotiating prices for services and/or products. * Identifying suppliers and negotiating bills of sale for the business. * Inspecting deliveries for shipping errors, improper handling, or quality issues. * Ensure that orders are delivered on time and at cost. * Resolve billing and shipping problems and provide information to suppliers. * Supplier identification and benchmarking. * Leading and managing a small team. REQUIREMENTS: * Requires a third level degree in a Business or Engineering discipline. * 4 years in a similar senior buying/procurement role. * Experience of leading a team. * Electronics Industry experience a must.
