SUMMARY OF ROLE: Our Client based in Shannon, Co. Clare, is currently recruiting for an Admin Clerk, who will train as Customs Clerk. The role is full-time position initially for 6 months with a view to long-term permanent employment. The role commences the 1st week in January. Our Client, a multi-national logistics company provides excellent training and career progression opportunities. For the initial training period of 2 months, the successful candidate will be required to be based in Dublin Head Office Training Centre on a temporary basis for the purposes of training. All accommodation/travel expenses will be paid while in Dublin. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing administrative support in a busy office - primarily phone answering, filing, scanning, data entry, query handling via phone and email. Following an initial 2 month basic training period the successful candidate will then proceed to work in specific customs areas within the group. At the end of the one year training period you will be qualified as a Customs Clerk, a skill in high demand in this rapidly expanding sector. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Computer literate; • Fast and accurate keyboard skills. • Willingness to learn and develop skills; • Strong attention to detail; • Excellent phone manner and good customer service skills; • Must be energetic and enthusiastic. RATE OF PAY: The rate of pay will start at €22,362 per year and within the first six months if you successfully pass your training will increase to €25,092 per year. WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. You will need to be flexible to work different shifts should the need arise. JOB CODE: QED0155.
