Position Available: Full-Time Accounts Administrator within a Medium Sized Accounting Practice. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced accounts administrator/book-keeper, operating in an extremely busy, progressive firm, working across our diverse client base in manufacturing, construction, agricultural, service and retail sectors. The chosen candidate needs to preferably be a qualified Accounting Technician, be a self-starter with at least 4 years' relevant experience, have an ability to operate as part of a team, manage a diverse portfolio of clients and have an ability to progress assignments directly in conjunction with clients on a timely basis and to a high standard. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Posting of raw data to Sage 50 and other accounting packages depending on client's requirements. - Completion of bank and creditor reconciliations. - Completion of book-keeping assignments to draft Trial Balance stage. - Preparation of VAT returns. A strong working knowledge of VAT legislation is a necessity. - Have a good knowledge of payroll to be able to provide sickness and holiday leave. - Completion of ad-hoc administration and accounting assignments as required. - Engaging with colleagues on specific assignments as required. Key Requirements: - Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. - Strong team player working under the direction of the Principal and Office Manager. - Ability to assist and mentor junior staff. - Ability to work to deadlines and independently monitor deadline management. - A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience. - Detailed knowledge of Sage 50 would be desirable. - Strong academic results and are either qualified or currently studying towards the accounting technician qualification. - It would be expected that candidates would quicklyprogress to a managerial or senior position within the firm. Salary and Benefits: - Salary and benefits are commiserate with experience. - Expectations will be discussed at interview stage.
