Our client is a worldwide manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and coating fluids for industrial, construction and consumer purposes. They work closely with their clients to provide them with value-added solutions, and are committed to the continuous delivery of superior technical support and expertise, premium quality products and ongoing R&D initiatives. Currently they are looking to hire a REACH Co-ordinator for their site in Shannon, Co. Clare. Positions do not come up very often with this company and they offer an excellent salary with emphasis on career development and progression. Candidates should have a Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline Science discipline. Responsibilities: Manage Consortia and Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) correspondence and information requests. Work effectively with EHS to ensure other affected sister sites are fully REACH compliant at all times. File any communications with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) SIEF, and Consortia for future reference in appropriate substance folders. Produce monthly reports that will be distributed to the relevant Managers that will keep them up to date on work completed and REACH Regulation requirements. Develop substance use questionnaires, distribute them to affected business units and communicate results to SIEFs. Review updated substance totals information and update existing registrations or file additional registrations as required. Develop and maintain Substance-Supplier Summaries in conjunction with the company and their and affected sister sites. Maintain customer and supplier databases with up to date contact information, products sold and products purchased to document REACH compliance and maintain supplier Only Representative (OR) registration coverage's. Review development of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) list as well as authorization and restriction provisions and communicate relevant information to the company and other affected sister sites. Develop and maintain REACH section on company website and keep REACH Policy up to date and accessible from the website. Have a good working knowledge of REACH IT website, used for the joint submission of Registration Dossiers. Respond to ECHA, customer, and supplier queries in a timely manner. Assist the company with the ISO14001 environmental standards accreditation by being the independent internal auditor. Participate and lead projects that focus on cross functional development and optimization, including new product development and technical processes when required and time allows. Requirements: BSc in Chemistry or related Science discipline. 2-3 year's work experience in a design, process or regulatory role with a chemical products manufacturer. Advanced knowledge of REACH Regulation and any associated chemical legislation. Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and industry standards (ISO 9001, etc.) Able to efficiently review and summarize the very high volume of ECHA, customer, supplier, and Consortia/ SIEF correspondence. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging business unit personnel to effectively address REACH requirements. Strong working knowledge of IT-systems, including knowledge of REACH IT website used for the Registration Dossiers and Microsoft Office skills.
