Our client, a leading, global logistic solutions provider, is seeking an experienced ocean freight forwarder for their Shannon operations. This role has arisen to provide cover for maternity leave and will be approx. a 12 month contract. The Role: This role requires a candidate with good knowledge of freight forwarding practices who will work in the ocean freight department, reporting to the ocean freight manager. This is an opportunity to gain experience with a global, well-recognised organisation who have a high quality reputation in the logsitics sector. The Person: Freight forwarding industry certification. Hazardous Goods Training. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of freight forwarding processes and previous experience in this area. Experienced in distribution practices. Experience updating tarriffs. Accustomed to working with SOPs and Good Working Practices. Ability to communicate with all levels and to identify and escalate any issues. Terms: Full time, 12 month contract (approx) to cover maternity leave. Package: €32,000 - €35,000 DOE.
