R & D Program Manager - County Clare. Key responsibilities for this role include managing new product development projects. This includes execution, planning, OEM customer management and technical marketing support. The role will include a focus on influencing key commercial stakeholders and working with regulatory bodies and approvals agencies to protect and develop the company's premium brand. Responsibilities include identifying detailed requirements for new products, based on emerging market and regulatory requirements and capturing the critical success factors for new systems. The critical measurements of the team are based on driving the mid-to-long term product development and innovation strategy, driving design wins versus competitive products and working with sales and business units to drive short-term product delivery and long-term strategic engagements. K ey Requirementsfor the role include : • Honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent. Ideally, candidates will have a business or marketing degree in addition to their technical qualifications. • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a role within the life safety products and/or consumer electronics industry. • Strong technical knowledge of embedded systems hardware and/or software architectures. • Ability to engage in strategic relationships within target OEMs. • Ability to analyse industry specifications and initiatives with a view to developing internal strategies for developing competitive product architectures. • Proven team leadership and mentoring skills. • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
