CareerWise Recruitment are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor for a Shannon based Engineering company. Reporting to the general manager, the production Supervisor will be responsible for the management of all day to day activities relating to the manufacturing performance of the facility. THE ROLE: * Provide a safe working environment for employee's, contractors and visitors. * Lead and drive production team to achieve required levels of output. * Achieve hourly and shift production targets. * Ensure capacity is available (people and equipment) to achieve monthly production targets. * Drive a culture of accountability through production. * Achieve equipment Utilization targets. * Define medium and long term capacity needs and as appropriate develop capex & headcount justifications. * Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all manufacturing processes. REQUIREMENTS: * Degree in Engineering / Production Management. * A minimum of 3 years production management experience preferably in a mechanical/precision engineering company. * Knowledge of metal machining process (turning, milling, grinding, assembly. * Hands on experience of 5S, SMED, OEE and other Lean / 6 Sigma tool deployment. * ERP systems experience.
