We opened our office in Ireland in 2012 and we have an Irish owned sister company in the US, Keltia Design, Inc. that has been in business for over 17 years. Our Client in the West of Ireland region is a leading provider of innovative and advanced electronic components and solutions for a wild variety of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer products industries. They are currently seeking a Electrical Engineer for a permanent position. This promises to be an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate with the right experience. Electrical component selection in coordination with global procurement teams. Schematics development (circuit & magnetics topology. PCB layout & DFM. Knowledge of design & test for EMC/EMI compliance. Electrical Testing. Customer design support for system level transmission compliance. Support to technical customer base and Standards Association activities. Requirements. Level 8 Hons Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, preferably a Masters. 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant field. Proven history of successful project execution in a manufacturing environment. Signal Integrity / Electromagnetic transmission lines experience an advantage. Magnetics design, specification & optimisation skills. Knowledge of Ethernet transmission. Experience and understanding of network analysers & S-Parameter measurements. Strong programming skills including LabView. PCB software experience, preferably Altium Designer. Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. Liaise with mechanical engineering, production, and quality groups in the development of work instructions and controls for electrical assembly manufacture. Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections. Strong leadership skills with a commitment to teamwork. Self-motivated, hard working person, willing to demonstrate initiative. Must have a capacity for communicating and problem solving, together with a demonstrated ability to identify problem causes and deliver solutions. Decisive and strong in commitment to achieving customer agreed project schedules along with quality and cost targets.
